RN Staff Education/Employee Health

Administrative Role

The RN Staff Education/Employee Health is an integral part the care team that helps change the lives of our patients and residents each day. As such, you are responsible for providing a full range of administative activities including:

  • Responsibility for all aspects of employee education, in-services, vaccination programs and quality assurance reporting.
  • Conducting CNA certification classes as needed by the facility.
  • Participating in QAPI and other administrative teams as required by administration.
  • Obtaining ongoing education related to these fields.
  • Must flex hours to complete staff orientation and in-services.
  • Reporting to Director of Nursing

Required qualifications:

  • RN licensure active in NYS.**
  • Experience in staff development and regulatory requirements for LTC facilities.
  • CNA course instructor approval required.
  • Infection Prevention Certification (may obtain after hire).
  • Proficient in state survey requirements.
  • Skilled use of EHR, Relias and other related software systems.
  • Positive role model for all staff.
  • Candidate must possess the ability to effectively teach, implement and evaluate all required educational modules for new and existing staff as mandated by regulatory agencies. This nurse is an educator and mentor that is focused on quality education standards for the facility.

  • Previous experience as an CNA in an acute care/long term care setting is desirable.
  • Current certification to practice as a Certified Nursing Assistant in the State of New York.
